Cristiano scores Champions League number 68 against Basel To Top Messi
Mr. Champions League keeps the goals coming. Cristiano Ronaldo found the back of the net against Basel for the 68th time in the top European competition, surpassing Messi (67) and now just three goals from Raúl's record (71).
Former Real star, Raúl, is the Champions League's top scorer, but both Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi are on course to strip him of that title this season. For now, the Portuguese star has passed his Argentine rival following his goal which came courtesy of an assist by Bale. Trailing the top three are Van Nistelrooy (56), Henry (50) and Shevchenko (48).
