Chicharito: "No One Trains To Be A Sub"

Chicharito Hernández stressed on Spanish TV that he hasn't joined Real Madrid just to sit on the bench. "No one will tell you that they train to be a sub", he stated categorically. The Mexican isn't daunted by the prospect of doing battle with Karim Benzema: "I'm delighted to have the chance to compete with him. I had to vie with Dimitar Berbatov, Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney at United. Benzema is a goalscorer who also provides lots of assists. He's a very complete player". Hernández also discussed some of his other new teammates: "Cristiano is the best in the world. If they doubt him and Real as a whole, of course they will doubt me too", he observed. "I'm not surprised by the criticism of Iker: it comes with the territory in this business, but he's a top pro. He and Keylor are both extraordinary keepers and it's up to Carlo Ancelotti who plays".
