Americans Are The loudest Sports Fans In The World

-Agencies Guinness World Record: Kansas City Chiefs fans set new mark for crowd noise at Arrowhead Stadium AMERICA has once again proven that its fans have the loudest mouths in sport. Football fanatics at a Kansas City Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium set a world record for the loudest outdoor sports venue on Tuesday. They recorded a decibel reading of 142.2 to easily surpass the mark set at a home game of NFL rival Seattle last season (137.6). To put that in perspective a concert is normally around 105 decibels, thunder is about 120 decibels and a jet at about 30m off the ground is 140. Stadium staff handed out 36,000 pairs of earplugs to protect fans from long-term hearing loss. The whole occasion had everyone fired up. From the fans . And even Guinness World Records official Philip Robertson, who was on hand to verify the mark. The closest we’ve come here in Australia was when Port Adelaide fans had a crack at the record during a game at Adelaide Oval this season. But the peak reading of 109.1 decibels fell a long way short.
