WBC Knockouts 12-Round Bouts For Women

The WBC has announced that it will not participate in any female bout scheduled for 12 rounds x 3 minutes. The WBC finished an unprecedented First World Female Covention only 3 weeks ago in which many topics were addressed and a key issue was the dispute between 10 rounds vs 12 rounds and 2 minute rounds vs 3 minutes rounds in female boxing. It was unanimously decided that several detailed medical studies will be conducted as an addition to the many previously performed before, considering permitting any female boxing match to be held for more than 10 rounds and any round to be considered for more than 2 minutes
