Former Nigeria and African sprints Queen, Mary
Onyali-Omagbemi, has advised the Super Falcons to put
"I want to advise the players, coaches and all officials to forget about
the disappointment of not playing the match and just move on with the
task ahead which is the World Cup.”
“The match against Mali would have served as a good warm-up to the
big one which is the World Cup but they should put it behind and
continue to restrategise. I wish you girls well as you prepare to depart
Nigeria for Canada and I pray that you perform excellently well because
we are all solidly behind you" Onyali concluded.
Nigeria automatically moved to the next round of the Olympic
qualifiers after Mali pulled out of the tournament and are billed for a
training tour ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup, which starts in
Canada on June 6.
