Flying Eagles coach Manu Garba has disclosed he has a clear idea of
the 21 players he will take to the U20 World Cup in New Zealand later
this month.
Nigeria will submit a final 21-man squad on Friday, May 15, to FIFA.
Genk defender Wilfred Ndidi is expected to join up with the rest of the squad on Monday, while three other Europe-based stars – Isaac Success, Kelechi Iheanacho and Moses Simon – are still being awaited. The Flying Eagles have been training in Nurnberg, Germany, for a week now.
On Friday evening they played a two-a-side game between the main team and the second team, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
Chidera Ezeh and Bernard Bulbwa scored for the first team, before Wasiu Jimoh netted a brace for the other team.
