Caf has named Zambian referee Janny Sikazwe to handle the quarter-finals
match involving Ghana and Guinea on February 1, Goal Ghana can reveal.
The Kapiri Mposhi native will be assisted by Evarist Menkouande from
Cameroon and Waleed Ahmed Ali from Sudan at the Estadio de Malabo
Sunday.
Ghana topped Group C with six points ahead of Algeria with the
head-to-head rule and will play Guinea who placed second at the expense
of Mali.
Sikazwe is not new to Ghanaians as he was the fourth referee when the
west African giants defeated South Africa 2-1 in Mongomo in their last
group game. He also officiated the semi-finals involving Ghana and
Nigeria in the 2014 CHAN tournament in South Africa which ended 0-0 but
Ghana won 4-1 on penalties.
